「大同路108號舊城再生基地」日前舉行「漫步舊城?軼事采風」活動，多位市民透過實地踏查，蒐集舊城巷弄裡的豐富故事與回憶，都發處表示，3月4日本周日將蒐集這些故事，製作成「社區故事箱」，結合街區模型、標示出各店家或故事的位置，喚醒舊城的歷史記憶與生命。

「大同路108號舊城再生基地」繼去(106)年前推出第一系列「舊城有感節」的手作 活動後，獲得民眾不少好評，眾引期待的第二系列「漫步舊城?軼事采風」於2月23日起展開，每周一個小活動，將城市男生鞋的記憶慢慢串聯起來。

林智堅市長表示，新竹市是一座充滿歷史的城市，透過實地踏查等創意行動，要讓市民更加瞭解舊城巷弄，也喚醒兒時記憶，加深這座城市與自己生命的連結，希望每位市民都能在此活動中得到滿滿收穫。

市民湯小姐說，外科醫生的爸爸在看完診後，總會帶著兒時的她與其他兄弟姊妹，一起走到早期的新竹夜市（現在的中央市場旁建成公園）吃鴨肉麵，這次踏查過程中，原夜市鴨肉麵店喚醒她與父親的甜蜜記憶。

市民王慧娟、尤桂遵、郭淑珠、萬小嬌等，則對位在新竹第一街巷口的「中興百貨行」印象深刻，她們表示，從「中興百貨行」第一代老闆時，她們就是忠實老主顧，這裡更是媽媽們的最愛，常會來這裡買些材料製作手工串珠，當成出國送禮的好物。

都市發展處陳永源處長表示，3月5日下午兩點開始，將由老師引導參與民眾，將之前踏查採集的物品與故事，擺放至鞋盒大小紙箱或木箱中，再用自己的創意巧思製作出屬於舊城的故事箱，裝置懸掛在大同 108 的入口牆上，並結合街區之模型標示出各店家位置，讓故事箱作品連結城市模型，當日預計邀請周邊店家一同參與、分享舊城大小故事，歡迎所有市民共同參與。
